About Me: CHERRI POET, known as the ReggaeRapStar!...Superstar! is an artist that is just what her name says. A recording artist, representing three genres of music. She is a songwriter, music Producer, playwrite, actress and tv host. Chwrri Poet has performed alongside acts such as Reggae star, Macka Diamond, King Yellowman, Elephant Man, Baby Sham, Courtney Melody, Twins of twins and many mire. She has also grased the stage alonside Gospel great Yolanda Adams and Mc Lyte at the Pantene total you tour - Philadelphia Convention Center. Charri has also hosted her very own show on 101.5fm/Lincage Radio in Mt Vernon New York. A show which supported inde artists as well as well known celebs. Cherri Poet, as Radio host interviewed such ledgends as Afrika Baambaataa and Dj Kool hurc. Cherri also is well known for her humanitarian efforts. She traveled with Philadelphia Senator Vincent Hughes and Actress Sheryl lee Ralph some years back, to a march on Washington, DC; and petioned lawmakers to provide affordable health care for those living with AIDS and HIV. Cherri also worked with and performed three years at the Philadelphia Aids Walk. Cherri has released two full length albums "Speak my calling" and "Eva Success"; Available at cdbaby.com and Amazon.com. And a host of singles. For 2016, Cherri Poet released her 5th video. A conscious Hip hop hard spitting tune "New year New Attitude" (which she wrote and produced) plus a bonus movie. See video on her youtube page at youtube.com/cherripoet. This year started off on a hifh nte. Recently, Cherri Poet has been heard on many radio interviews promoting her video. From Crucial Reggae Connection on Epic Radio/ Big Bear, California, to Country Mon ting Radio out of Atlanta, GA, to WVIP 93.5fm NY, Jersey and Connecticut, to 90.3fm the voice of Harlem. And the list goes on. On the Reggae side of her music, Cherri currwntly receives major video play on CIN TV Jamaica's Juss a buss program fir her classic herb tune "Tek mi laas $20..." Sundays 4-5pm (USA est).
