CHAE is an Afro-Colombian born tropical singer/songwriter star who composes and performs in a variety of musical styles which includes Latin, Pop Rock, Funk soul and creates energetic socially conscious women empowering music which she infuses with her Latin African rhythms like salsa, cumbia, soca, dancehall, and soukous. CHAE became popular in the north coast of Colombia along with her sister Mila as part of the tropical music duo called Las Perlas Negras (the Black Pearls. During that musical collaboration, she has toured throughout the Americas and Europe winning several awards with her own hit songs like Negro Candela, Navegando, and Carnaval. The duet has also won prestigious awards in her country Colombia such as "El Congo de Oro twice as the best New artists in the tropical music category in Barranquilla's carnivals, Commerce Chambers awards and the Caribbean Music Festival in Cartagena city. CHAE has participated in several festivals in the tri-state area such as The New York Empire State Festival, The Anthem Music Festival. CHAE with her distinctive vocal style and the ability to blend the nostalgic salsa sounds with jazzy rhythms gives her a unique ability to blend musical genres. CHAE is now currently in the studio recording her next album titled "COLOMBIANOS" as a homage to her native country Colombia.
