About Me
Despite revealing her deepest and darkest experiences in her songs, there is something still quite mystical about A'mari “DJ Mona-Lisa” renditions. Veneice Fung-Chung aka A'mari "DJ Mona-Lisa" was born in St. Andrew, Jamaica and migrated to the United States in her late teens. Currently A'mari "DJ Mona-Lisa" has gain tremendous popularity and is causing a buzz in the industry after composing and recording her EP entitled, "Vacation", "Sex & Fame", "Manifesto" album and multiple hit singles. A'mari "DJ Mona-Lisa" wrote her first song, “Ghetto Child” when she was 10 years old and recorded it at age 15 at Dynamics Sounds Recording Studio in Jamaica. At about age 17, A'mari recorded “Needing You”, another suave R&B single that she also wrote at age, fourteen.

A'mari "DJ Mona-Lisa" studied International Law at Nova Southeastern University in Florida; she also attended other colleges where she pursued studies in Psychology, Computer Programming and Criminal Justice. Over the years she emerged into a music master rater, rating more than 10,000 songs on Launchcast. A'mari "DJ Mona-Lisa" is also a popular talk show host on Blog Talk Radio and a former radio producer on WNWK, WNJR and WAXY. For many years, A'mari focused on radio broadcasting. However, After being hospitalized in 2013, A'mari made a pact with God to return back to her music career. A'mari composed and recorded multiple hit singles such as “Don’t Wanna Lose You”, “Renaissance” and “Goddess”. A year later, A'mari and her family met in a serious accident; everyone escaped death. A'mari "DJ Mona-Lisa" refers to this occurrence as “an intervention by God and a continuing journey towards total rebirth". A'mari then envisioned her purpose in life: to entertain and uplift her fans through her lyrics and music. She released “Rising Star”, "Adonai", "Epistles of Love" and more hit renditions.

During a brief stay in Florida, A'mari spent time among friends in the reggae/dancehall and created hip-hop renditions on dancehall beats. In early 2015, A'mari "DJ Mona-Lisa" became the first artist to be recognized by dancehall music lovers as versatile and original. A'mari is always inspired by others; she wrote Kompa music, "I Like" after meeting people of different cultures. "Love has no barriers!" A'mari relates.

A'mari's latest reggae EP entitled, "Vacation" is a real unique blend of lovers rock-reggae music blended with a soft touch of R&B. Music lovers describes it as authentic, pulsating and enticing. The EP is based on true life experience. The artist spends time in Jamaica and feels overwhelm by the demands of relatives and friends; she escapes into the realms of music and creates "Set My Heart Free" single. While in the studio A'mari feels secure-she bonds with her musician and creates "Vacation" single. While spending memorable time in Ocho Rios, A'mari records "Magic Touch" and "Touch". However, the honeymoon is short-lived so Amari further surrenders her soul to music worldwide fans in final rendition entitled, "Reach".

A'mari continues to compose songs based on experience. Her most recent album is entitled, "Manifesto". "Manifesto" album by A'mari "DJ Mona-Lisa" reminds us that love is essential; hurting each other is simply "not" the solution. The singles are written by A'mari and are entitled, "Evanescence", "Annunciation", "Repatriation", "Renaissance ft The Promise Seeds", "Chronicles ft Josie Mel", "La Belle Dame Sans Merci", and "Maktub".

Proceeds from the album will go towards educating the public of the stigmas of rape and child molestation. The artist is a victim of such circumstances and is an outright public advocate in regards to this mission. She declares, ""Manifesto" is music with soul - the transpiring of significant transformation."

A'mari currently looks forward to her world tour. "The sky is the horizon!" she implores.

A'mari "DJ Mona-Lisa" is not just "another" singer; she is a musical icon and an emblem of love. "My experiences in life paved the way for my musical horizons," she proclaims. "I was homeless, heartbroken, often misunderstood because of my personal beliefs but somehow I managed to overcome spiritual barriers, prejudice, stereotype and isolation; I am not just a singer but also a mentor for others. Heaven lies within me..my lowest moments are my peaks..I am able to relate to the world because of my past insecurities that I was able to defeat; the world now awaits me.

I'm 24 year old musician from the DMV.
