- About Me
- Ambi Mosi is an African Worship Leader, singer, song writer and composer. Born and raised in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, West Africa. Ambi believes that filling the earth with the glory of God through Spirit filled Christian music is a task that must be done.
Gospel music to him should be able to break yokes and not viewed from the entertainment stand point.
Ambi became deeply interested in music at a very tender age through the influence of his mother Mrs. Priscilla Mosi who was a lead vocalist of various local musical bands in the Niger Delta area in the 70’s.
He joined his first vocal group “Expectations” in 1989 in Lagos, Nigeria, his second group was called “Fretless Band” (1991) which became a stand in band at that time to various artistes like Esse Agesse, Stella Yama, Adu Deme, Daddy Fresh, Daddy Showkey, etc. He found himself yet in another band in 1993 “1 Q Band a.k.a. “The Mini Band with a Maxi Sound” which became a regular feature in most nite clubs around Lagos, Nigeria. Ambi got a call from God while performing in a nite club (Daniels Nite Club Ikeja GRA) 1993, in Lagos but refused to heed the call, that experience later inspired a song which he wrote in 2003 titled “Live for you”, he yet joined another secular band in 1994 Galaxy Band until God finally arrested him same year, he later became the Choir Director of Spirit and Life Bible Church for the entire Lagos State between 1994 – 2002. During this period also, he was a member of an accapella group “Vision for Mission”.
