This was a recent dialog between POZE member that I thought we should share. When we talk (and think) about topics of mutual concern WE LEARN!

Hello Guys!
I hope you're doing well and expect that you are. I got my first review and it contained a couple of typos. Although I am SO happy for the review and it is pretty positive, when I post it on my pages and websites I want to make the corrections. Is that ethically correct? I plan to leave out certain portions and highlight certain sentences. What would you do and what would you suggest? I also will be working heartily on getting more reviews and will research the R&B blogs and write up my paragraphs to post. Been focused on designing my website and physical CD to get pressed up. I value and trust your opinions. Thanks guys!

OK! GREAT JOB! Easy fix! GO o my page and look at the review I have posted. I DO NOT post links to review (generally). they become dated and hard to find.... I create my own version of the review and save as a JPEG & PDF. Don't freak out it's easy!
1. Open a blank word DOC
2. Cut the text from the review/ paste into word doc.
3. Fix the typos (but don't change any content)
4. GO back web site and copy the banner/ paste to word doc.
5. Change DOC page color to match (or close) the review website
6. Arrange text and pictures so they look good.
7, Save as PDF
8. Open PDF and CROP the file to fit
7. "save" and then "save as" a pdf file (picture)
8. Post wherever you please, free of typos
9. Create a folder on your desktop for "reviews"
10. Good to go!!!!
Great Job! Keep the ball rolling!

Yes its very helpful. Makes a lot of sense too. That way I can have more control over my artist content & representation. Thanks again! You guys are a blessing. Best wishes :)

No Problem G-ma, For us the goal is to have our own clean copies of all reviews that we can print OR include with press kits (we do the same with "posters" to! you can see them in the "photo album" on our facebook page: the cry pdx). By creating a "separate" doc in my hard drive, we are not tied to a blog-site or publication. This give us maximum flexibility to use reviews, pic, posters, as we see best fit to address a specific opportunity.

Wow that sounds gret, if you know what your doing on a computer. When I get a review. I readit, check for spelling and then and I know this sound like the hard way. I re-write it to another sheet of paper and take out some words. Write down who sent it and where it came from. I never put down any dates of when they were sent. Have a friend of mine re-type them up and put them in a Binder of Extreme Dreams' reviews. It works for me.

Permalink Reply by The CRY! (Ray) on September 19, 2012 at 3:15pm As long as the origional publsher is cool with your edit I don't think you'll have any problems. I am very tempted to change words (especially in the translated reviews) but don't want to piss off any egos out there who I may want to get more from i nthe future.... thanks for the insights and sharing your process..Ray

We feel blessed and very grateful for the comments. We look at all comments and we appreciate everyone, please keep them coming. I would like to thank Harmony, Vanessa, KJ, and the rest of the Poze staff for a great year. Each of us were musicians that were given a chance. The internet wasn't a big issue at the time and without our break with someone helping us; we wouldn't have the…
