So, we are not going to make money on our small label deals. That is not our goal in working with small labels. Our goal is to get an increasing % of the product for sales at shows. For example,…Continue

If you think musical talent alone will make you a star, you’re wrong. In fact, there are several other factors that are just as important (if not more important) to your career. Here are the 5 most…Continue

Comment by ArtistPush.com on November 14, 2012 at 3:11pm Ok.. Yolanda.. The best suggestion I can come up with is onesheet.com... It's a free place to list your EPK... We provide a press kit for all our artist under our distribution... We also design album covers, build websites for our artist with completed albums, do all of your social media marketing, contact radio stations and much more. Wow I am out of breath just writing all that.. LOL but on a serious note... Try http://www.onesheet.com and I will try to answer any question that you may have...
Comment by Yolanda R. on November 14, 2012 at 9:54am Hello everyone! I currently use Reverbnation for my Press Kit but an unsatisfied with it because it included RN's ranking and also leaves off some show info. Since RN is not the industry standard for artists I don't think it gives a clear enough profile of my fanbase and work (even though it includes fan stats). Does anyone have an idea on a good source to compile artist Press Kits. Can you please tell me what you have used and if you know of a source that can put one together at a reasonable cost? Thanks!
Comment by ArtistPush.com on September 19, 2012 at 10:59pm I am a marketing specialist for a distribution and marketing company... All of the artist that come to us remain independent... We just facilitate the needs of the artist or small or mid-size label.. You can make more money as an Independent artist if you know how to manage yourself as a business...
Comment by Yolanda R. on September 9, 2012 at 4:13pm Condensed my blog paragraphs to 2 - it is actually 2- although words may look like extra paragraphs. Appreciate your feedback, guys! Thanks.
"With a sound described as “Sweet Soul” and a voice described as ‘amazing’,‘soulful’,‘gorgeous’, ‘achingly beautiful’,‘awesome’ and ‘heavenly’ (among many other adjectives), Yolanda R. is an emerging R&B/Soul singer gaining thousands of fans in the U.S. and worldwide. A Classically trained vocalist, she possesses an undeniably versatile musical range. Tristan Rose, Music reviewer for Raynbowaffair.com, had this to say in her review: “I was struck by Yolanda’s talent and vocals, in a word I was floored, she is someone who I would love to watch at an intimate gig whether it’s her at a piano, at a upscale venue or on the grass with my lover, that’s just the mood I feel from her. The vocals, production and song writing were all on point.”
Her debut recording, “Yolanda’s Voice” is an R&B gem where she weaves musical tapestry with ballads and mid-tempo grooves. It includes original R&B/Neo-Soul tunes and superbly reworked cover versions of a Country tune, Gospel Hymn, and a Standard. Have a listen to the entire EP at http://soundcloud.com/yolandas-voice/sets/studio-recordings. Your music review is greatly desired and tremendously appreciated. Comment by The CRY! (Ray) on September 5, 2012 at 11:10pm Yolanda, Great! Nicely writen and shamelessly selfpromoting. A+!! Now, as an extra credit assignment, Cut it down to two paragraphs WITHOUT losing any meaning/passion. Seriously, the blurb you have will be perfect for web-blogs and promo cover letters but may be a bit long for some of your other uses... my experience is that when I really focus I can cut about 50% out and distill a powerfull brief snippit. All versions just add tools to your toolbox... GREAT WORK!

I would like to thank Harmony, Vanessa, KJ, and the rest of the Poze staff for a great year. Each of us were musicians that were given a chance. The internet wasn't a big issue at the time and without our break with someone helping us; we wouldn't have the…
