Trevin and Leo introduce Pop Swag
to a world craving a new sound

NASHVILLE, TN – If you haven’t heard Trevin and Leo yet… what are you waiting for? They’re the best-kept-secret in pop music.

With a sound that can only be described as “pop swag,” these two brothers based out of Nashville, Tennessee are bringing a sound and style that is such a breath of fresh air that it’s flying across the U.S.. And their new EP “Humble Beginnings” is set to launch them into even higher levels of success. Serving as a culmination of their work and experiences along with their past two years of musical development, “Humble Beginnings” explores a diverse range of ideas and feelings. And the entire project showcases their amazing vocals and silky smooth style that makes it readily apparent to anyone who listens why their music would be called “pop swag.”

“This project really gives people the opportunity to partake of a lot of different things,” Leo said. “All of the songs come from the relationships we’ve been through and the things we’ve seen and experienced. It’s a project that showcases all of that and gives light to the perspective we’ve walked through. The reason we call our music ‘pop swag’ is because we use the influence of what’s current in our culture, while always bringing in our roots. We’re from Louisiana, and Louisiana style is laid back – not on the beat but almost hitting the beat. It has a specific vibe, and we’re bringing that influence to pop music. When you fuse those things, you’ve got a blend that’s really vibey and that you can also dance to.”

Though the brothers have always been into music, it wasn’t something they ever aspired to do as a career. Their amazing vocal talent was always something that was kind of a best-kept-secret among friends and family. Trevin pursued sports for most of his young life, and even went to college with the hopes of making it professionally in football. As that desire began to fade, his focus turned to his degree in electrical engineering. But then one day he was hanging out with friends, messing around with beats, and wrote his first rap song. He didn’t have a hook, however, and was ready to dismiss the song as just a fun activity with his friends. Then his brother Leo walked into the room and started singing a hook. For both of them it was as if a light-bulb clicked on.

“From that moment on it was like, ‘This is it! Let’s continue this,’” Trevin said. “It was magical. It made me feel alive. I knew immediately that it’s what I’ve been missing from my life.”

“I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember, but I didn’t ever think about doing it as a career,” Leo said. “When we were going to the same college, I was searching for a career in the medical field and I was questioning if that was the path I needed to take. That moment singing that hook, I knew it was what I was supposed to do. It just felt right.”

That moment happened in 2011, and since that time they’ve worked hard on developing their unique sound and style. They’ve released singles, slowly building a fan-base and an archive of music that has been genre-breaking. Today, Trevin and Leo are perfectly primed to present that progressive “pop swag” sound to a world that is hungry for something new.

“We want our music to be known for bringing people together,” Trevin said. “There’s enough chaos and division in the world, we want our music to be known for connecting – all ages and races to get together to dance and feel loved and know they’re not alone. Love, hope, joy … all those elements of relationships – those are all things we’re exploring with our music. And it’s all intended to connect people and help them know they’re not alone.”

“The essence of Trevin and Leo is Trevin and Leo,” Leo said. “It’s truly ideas formed in this process that came from us. A lot of our writing and production process feeds off each other’s energy and ideas. We really want people listening to the records to know it came from artists who were passionate and fully involved and gave everything they had to their music.”
